I was recently in Dassel, MN for an Introductory Course. One of the students attending had called to discuss the potential of the MPS Scar Release treatment being effective for her nephew that she was very concerned about. So we decided to bring him in as a demo for class to see if we could help to fix him up!
Damien is 21 years old. When he was 18 months he drank laundry detergent that burned his esophagus all the way down into his stomach. He had a feeding tube for a lengthy time afterwards. Today, he is active and healthy, except that his throat tightens up over time and he has to have a medical procedure done to stretch the muscles in his throat. The doctors say, it is scar tissue that tightens so during a medical procedure they put an instrument down his esophagus to his stomach and scratch the scar tissue then enlarge the instrument to stretch the muscles in his neck. He has had this procedure done 39 times! Damien did not express pain in his body with the exception that the scar from the feeding tube has an altered sensation with some pain around it. He explained that when he eats food he always has liquid and is continually drinking to make sure the food goes down properly. When his neck muscles begin to tighten he has difficulty with thicker foods such as bread, French fries, and chicken. He reported they begin to get stuck and he has trouble getting them down. Damien was the demo for the scar treatment protocol in class. A significant change in the tube scar over his stomach took place. The scar became much more pliable and unstuck/no longer adhered underneath, the depth of the scar raised, the sensation changed to normal, and he obtained more flexibility in the core of his body. We sent him away to go have dinner and to eat bread, French fries, and chicken!
The next morning he reports back in to the class that he always has a liquid to drink when he eats and he is continually drinking with food. Last night at dinner, he had his liquid and pushed it off to the side and that he ate those difficult foods BUT had NO liquid to drink!! He was able not to just swallow them but to do so with such ease he did not have to drink! HUGE! So exciting! He just reported in that 6 days later he is still swallowing with ease and the change is still holding!
Quality of Life changes! Non- invasive treatment only on the outside of the neck and chest, taking just a few minutes to perform!
Kelly Armstrong, OTR/L, MMP-MPS
This is great news Kelly! Such an intense change for him in the best ways! Can you tell me how many additional times he can be treated with MPS if some of the tightness returns? Is there an approximate safe limit on how many times a scar like this can be treated? Thank you
Hi Ananda,
The exciting part is that this can be treated as often as necessary to keep the functional changes! This could replace some serious medical techniques that he had been having over his lifetime to keep the scar tissue more relaxed. There is no limit to how many times the scar can be treated. Microcurrent is very safe for the body and produces local cellular change as well as a systemic nervous system shift!
